Abstract:Coccidiosis is an infectious disease caused by the Eimeria species. The species can infect a bird’s digestive system, severely slow down its growth, and is a serious economic burden for chickens. A mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of coccidiosis disease in chickens in the presence of control interventions has been formulated and analyzed to gain insights into the dynamics of the disease in the population. Three control interventions, namely vaccination, sanitation, and treatment, are implemente… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
