На основе уравнений динамики плоского напряжённого состояния микрополярной теории упругости в области кругового сектора, используя ранее разработанные гипотезы для микрополярных тонких тел, построена математическая модель динамики микрополярного с независимыми полями перемещений и вращений упругого тонкого стержня с круговой осью. Установлен соответствующий вариационный принцип для задач собственных колебаний микрополярного тонкого стержня с круговой осью. Далее, на основе этого вариационного принципа разработан вариант применения метода конечных элементов для построения численных решений граничных задач соответствующей математической модели, применением которого можно определить частоты собственных колебаний микрополярного стержня с круговой осью. Рассматривается пример, результаты которого устанавливает то обстоятельство, что микрополярность материала повышает частоты собственных колебаний стержня по сравнению с классическим случаем.
