Mathematical Model of Automation of the Diagnosis of Internal Combustion Engines of the Yamz-238 Family

Failures of systems and mechanisms of the internal combustion engine are among the first among the total number of failures of tractors and cars. To determine them, a significant number of methods and means of determining the technical condition (diagnosis) are used. Functional-cost analysis is a heuristic method aimed at identifying the possibilities of reducing the cost and increasing the quality of the object, which is considered as a system with an orientation to a functional approach at all stages of its life cycle. This scientific article presents a functional and cost analysis of the anti-lock braking system of cars. A functional model of this system was developed and its functions were classified. The classification of the functions of the functional model of the anti-lock braking system of cars is also presented. The utility coefficients of this system are actually determined by constructing a matrix of advantages according to the known methodology. The generalizing cost criterion in the design of technical and production systems takes into account costs at all stages of the system's life cycle. To estimate these costs, a matrix of the anti-lock braking system of cars was created, with which the cost factors are calculated. Constructed function utility diagrams, function location, function-cost and cost diagrams allowed to use the functions of the anti-lock braking system of cars, which have a positive function-cost indicator and the highest rating among the presented functions. Such an operation or functions, marked by the highest functional value indicator and rank, are key to the further development of the system or the achievement of the goal of the analysis.

To ensure the efficient operation of vehicles, first of all it is necessary to have continuous and safe operation of their units by improving the reliability and quality of diagnosis. The drive axle of the car is an important unit that is designed to transmit torque from the engine to the wheels of the vehicle. Transmission units must operate in all modes of operation of the vehicle. Loss of serviceability of the drive axle leads to loss of serviceability of the car as a whole. In this regard, the technical condition of this unit must be subject to increased requirements, and it is necessary to conduct systematic monitoring, which gives a clear idea of the current technical condition of the drive axle and the ability to predict the failure of this transmission unit. The existing methods and tools for diagnosing of driving truck axles do not fully determine their current technical condition, which requires the development of mathematical models to automate the process of diagnosing their components and parts was found іn the analysis of literature sources. Mathematical model of automation of the process of diagnosing of driving axles of KAMAZ cars is presents in the article. Replacing real technical devices with their idealized models allows the widespread use of various mathematical methods. In this case, the drive axle of the KamAZ cars, as the object of diagnosis, is presented in the form of a «black box», the input and output parameters of which have a finite set of values. In general, the mathematical model is a system of functional relationships between each diagnostic signal and structural parameters. For driving axles of KAMAZ cars, a diagnostic matrix has been compiled, which includes a list of faults and signs of faults. It is determined that the process of diagnosis based on the model of the diagnostic object is possible if the inverse transformation of the number of signs of malfunctions into the number of structural parameters (malfunctions) of the object was unambiguous. The proposed mathematical model of automation of the process of diagnosing of driving axles of KAMAZ cars will detect faults of components and parts depending on their characteristics.

Constructive improvement of mobile energy vehicles, in particular their main unit – the internal combustion engine, is aimed at: ensuring the differentiation of the parameters of the functioning of the system mechanisms depending on the variability of the conditions and modes of operation of the machines; increasing the technical resource when using the machines as intended in the specified operating conditions. During the analysis of literary sources, it was established that the existing methods and means of diagnosing vehicle engines do not fully allow determining their current technical condition, which requires the development of mathematical models for automating the process of diagnosing their components and parts. Internal combustion diesel engines of the YaMZ-236/238 family, which are included in the power units of most tractors and cars, were chosen as the object of diagnosis. The use of modern non-contact and non-disassemble diagnostic methods based on the analysis of the initial parameters of the diesel engine, functionally related to its structural parameters, will allow solving the task of reducing the labor intensity of the work, the quality of diagnostics, however, they are not sufficiently researched. Therefore, to determine the technical condition of engines, it is necessary to use modern non-contact and non-destructive diagnostic methods, which are based on the analysis of initial parameters functionally related to structural parameters. The article presents the cause-and-effect relationships of the parameters of the main resource groups of internal combustion diesel engines of the YaMZ-236/238 family. A graph-model of the interrelationships of the controlled parameters of the main resource groups of the YaMZ-236/238 engines and their defects was built.
