Maternal syphilis infection is associated with increased risk of mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Malawi

Abstract: Maternal syphilis is associated with IU and IP/PP HIV MTCT. Screening and early treatment of maternal syphilis during pregnancy may reduce pediatric HIV infections.
