Maternal mortality associated with COVID-19: An integrative literature review

Abstract: COVID-19 is a respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that, in severe cases, progresses with extremely clinically relevant complications, directly impacting the morbidity and mortality of the population. The disease was first discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.
