Materializing the “Urban Region” Concept by Integrating Ecological Networks and Central Place Theory

Abstract: This paper attempts to integrate urban development and ecological conservation by applying and syncretizing the "urban region" concept from landscape ecology and the "city-region" concept from socioeconomics.
