“…In the absence of marching modulus, the cure is said to be completed (100% of cure) on the attainment of a plateau region. The way in which α varied with time was determined according to torque values as expressed in Equation ( 1) and the cure rate ( _ α ) was defined in terms of the Equation (2).…”

“…Sheet molding compounds (SMC) are composite materials, based on a thermoset system (usually composed by a thermoset resin such as polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy, and combined with fillers) 1 and reinforced with discontinuous glass or carbon fibers, which are becoming key players on transport-related industries due to their outstanding compromise between processability and high mechanical properties. [2][3][4][5] As its name indicates, these pre-impregnated materials are manufactured on readyto-mold sheets and the compression molding is the main transformation process to convert them into structural or sub-structural components. 6,7 The compression molding process enables the manufacturing of high complexity shapes at low cycle times 8 with the employment of simple and cost affordable tools compared with other manufacturing processes.…”

“…The design of a chassis that has a lightweight material [7], ergonomics and ease in the manufacturing process [8] is the aim of the researchers. To achieve this, the design of a model that requires natural frequency and characteristics is appropriate so that it can ensure comfort while driving [9].…”

“…The mechanical properties of bio-composites are an objective to study about the surface modification on both reinforcement and matrix [4]. The mechanical property of flax fiber bundle/PP composites to compare the performance of glass fiber/PP composite there is improved in surface conditions were identified [5]. While seeing the loss factor and damping factor carbon fiber has better property than the flax fibers [6].…”
