Abstrak Kata kunci: Batako beton mekanik, Batako beton manual Abstract -Today the use of brick as wall material is preferred because it is practical, fast, strong, and economical. In Kendari City, batako is made by manual and mechanical. The purpose of this study was to compare the mechanical concrete blocks and manual concrete blocks to work tools, materials, and manufacturing methods. The type of research used is qualitative with comparative causalapproach. This study concluded that the comparison between mechanical and manual block in the work tool category is more economical using manual molding than using mechanical molding mold, because the price of one unit of mechanical block machine is more expensive than manual molding. In the category of material use is equally economical and effective, because it uses simple materials such as sand, cement, and water. In the category of how to make, the mechanical block is more effective and efficient than the manual block, because the amount of mechanical block is more and the process is faster than the manual brick.

The cost of road construction or its repair is among the most concerns for the pavements engineers. Cracking and degradation is common mode of failure in asphalt pavements that occurs due to increasing traffic loads or even environmental conditions. For facing with these damages, some solutions are proposed including correction, quality improvement and increasing the asphalt resistance. In this research, by adding different percent amounts of black nano-carbon and polyester fibers as modifier in the asphalt mixtures and conducting several Marshall tests, it was observed that adding these two additives can improve generally the Marshall results. Polyester fiber causes preventing crack and damages of asphalt because of armed effect specification. According to the results, Marshall stability is increased up to 61%. Furthermore, an economic analysis was performed to investigate the cost of using such modified asphalt mixtures for constructing 1 km of a six line road and suitable percentages of additives were found from mechanical-economic analyses.

Chloride ions attack is the main factor leading to the degradation of concrete durability, while the diffusion process would be significantly aggravated under the dynamic flexural loading and dry-wet cycles. In this paper, the influence coefficients of dynamic flexural loading on chloride/water diffusion coefficients were established, based on the relationship between the dynamic flexural loading and the chloride ions diffusion coefficient of concrete. Based on the model of chloride ions transporting in dry-wet cycle environment, the transport model of chloride ions in concrete under the dynamic flexural loading and dry-wet cycles was established. The effects of different factors on the chloride ions transport law in concrete were analyzed through laboratory test. The results showed that the model was in good agreement with the experimental results. The theory and assumptions proposed applied in the model of chloride ions transport in concrete under the dynamic flexural loading and dry-wet cycles had certain rationality and scientificity.
