Abstract: LAEKNAblaðið 2010/96 11 Ágrip Inngangur: Tilgangur þessarar könnunar var að bera saman gildi maelinga á transferrínviðtökum í sermi (sTfR) og nokkurra annarra blóðrannsókna við greiningu járnskorts. Efniviður og aðferðir: Könnunin var framskyggn og öllum sjúklingum sem fljótandi mergsýni var tekið úr á Fjórðungssjúkrahúsinu á Akureyri á tímabilinu 1999 til 2003 var heimil þátttaka.
