Master symmetry in the AdS 5 × S 5 pure spinor string

Abstract: Abstract:We lift the set of classical non-local symmetries recently studied by Klose, Loebbert, and Münkler in the context of Z 2 cosets to the pure spinor description of the superstring in the AdS 5 × S 5 background.

“…The master symmetry discussed for symmetric space models in reference [4] was extended shortly afterwards to the pure spinor description of the superstring in AdS 5ˆS 5 [41]. Indeed, the generalization to semisymmetric space models is straightforward, as we shall see below.…”

“…Here, we generalize the discussion to a class of models known as semisymmetric space models. In addition to reviewing the construction of the conserved charges, we also introduce the master symmetry for these models, which was formulated for the pure spinor superstring in reference [41]. Moreover, we construct an infinite tower of so-called bonus symmetry charges.…”

“…Note that in the limit R → ∞ the algebra defined by these generators is iso(1, 4) ⊕ iso (5). This is expected to be enhanced to the full iso (1,9) since new conserved currents will appear as R → ∞.…”

“…An attempt to describe a massive state was made in [6], however some contributions were incorrectly ignored [7]. Although the pure spinor sigma model is classically integrable [8,9] and some quantum aspects have been studied [10,11] there are no techniques available to help computing the spectrum. It is possible that the formalism developed in [12] and applied in [13,14] could be generalized to the case of AdS pure spinor string.…”

“…A formal construction for the integrated vertex operator in this case was done in [13] using the string Lax pair [14][15][16]. The explicit form of the integrated vertex operator was not considered in this reference.…”
