Massive neutron stars with antikaon condensates in a density-dependent hadron field theory

Abstract: The measurement of 1.97 ± 0.04M solar for PSR J1614-2230 and 2.01 ± 0.04M solar for PSR J0348+0432 puts a strong constraint on the neutron star equation of state and its exotic composition at higher densities. In this paper, we investigate the possibility of exotic equation of state within the observational mass constraint of 2M solar in the framework of relativistic mean field model with density-dependent couplings. We particularly study the effect of antikaon condensates in the presence of hyperons on the ma… Show more

“…These EoS are generated within the framework of DD2 model. 23 Presence of hyperon makes the EoS softer compared to nucleons-only case. For npΛ EoS Λ appears at 2.20n 0 , for npΛΣΞ EoS Σ − and Ξ 0 appear at 2.48n 0 and 6.26n 0 respectively.…”

“…Here in this paper, we consider different compositions in our EoS which is generated under the framework of density dependent relativistic mean field model 23,24 and study the variation of mass-radius profile for different EoS and how they evolve with uniform rotation of the neutron stars. We also study the maximum mass sustainable for rotating configuration, expressed in terms of dimensionless and normalised angular momenta.…”
