Mass spectrum in R-parity violating minimal supergravity and benchmark points

Abstract: We investigate in detail the low-energy spectrum of the R-parity violating minimal supergravity model using the computer program SOFTSUSY. We impose the experimental constraints from the measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, (g − 2)µ, the decay b → sγ as well as the mass bounds from direct searches at colliders, in particular on the Higgs boson and the lightest chargino. We also include a new calculation for the R parity violating contribution to Br(Bs → µ + µ − ). We then focus on cases wh… Show more

“…Particle decays may be suppressed by small couplings or high mass scales, thus resulting in long lifetimes. An example of a small-coupling scenario is supersymmetry with R-parity violation (RPV) [2,3]. The present (largely indirect) constraints on RPV couplings allow the decay of the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) as it traverses a particle detector at the LHC.…”

“…Owing to an (approximate) Maxwell-Boltzmann distri-bution of the stau velocity, P eff | T f ∼ m e τ 1 T f , we choose P eff = 10 GeV as a representative value. 8 The curves show the annihilation channels with the following final states:…”

“…One corresponds to the points withχ Table IV. However, in Scenario III, the LHC phenomenology is somewhat different due to R-parity violation. The LSP is not stable, and then can be the lightest neutralino, light stau, or tau-snetrino [41]. Also, there is no missing energy for sparticle productions and decays at colliders.…”

“…In general, the RPV couplings are too small to shift the sparticle masses much [41]. Thus, we just ignore the RPV couplings in Renormalization Group Equation (RGE) running.…”
