Mass spectrometry of derivatives of dicyclopentadienyltitanium dichloride II. Comparison of chemical ionization and liquid secondary ion mass spectrometric behaviour

Abstract: Positivehegative chemical ionization (PUN1 CI) and liquid secondary ion mass spectrometry (LSIMS) of ten derivatives of dicyclopentadienyltitanium (IV) dichloride were investigated. The major ions detected were]-in NICI (ammonia) mass spectra, and RzCpR4]+, [M-RlCpR3-HCI]+ and [M-RzCpR4-HCl]+ (where RlCpR3 and RzCpR4 are both mixed alkyl-aryl substituted cyclopentadienyl groups) in LSIMS.
