MarkeTrak and EuroTrak: What We Can Learn by Looking Beyond the U.S. Market

Abstract: The MarkeTrak survey of the trends in hearing aid use, satisfaction and adoption in the United States has been conducted since 1989 by the Hearing Industries Association. It provide the hearing aid industry with valuable about the consumers view of the products and services within the industry. “…It is noteworthy that only 13.3% of our patients used binaural hearing aids. This percentage is much lower compared to the results of the Eurotrak study, where in 2009 in Germany, 60% of patients using hearing aids had hearing aids in both ears, and in the USA in 2008, 74% of patients used hearing aids in both ears [26].
