Marine Distributed Radar Signal Identification and Classification Based on Deep Learning

Abstract: Distributed radar is applied extensively in marine environment monitoring. In the early days, the radar signals are identified inefficiently by operators. It is promising to replace manual radar signal identification with machine learning technique. However, the existing deep learning neural networks for radar signal identification consume a long time, owing to autonomous learning. Besides, the training of such networks requires lots of reliable time-frequency features of radar signals. This paper mainly analy… Show more

“…In view of the extensive application of depth learning in computer vision, natural language processing, target detection, and gets good results, more and more researchers apply depth learning to radar signal modulation recognition [1][2][3] . At the same time, a metric learning method has emerged, which measures the distance between two samples to identify the same classes or different classes.…”

“…This concept is reversed in DOA estimation algorithms where, from the received signal samples the direction information of signals is estimated [1]. DOA estimation algorithm finds its application in variety of areas such as RADAR, navigation, SONAR, seismology, wireless mobile communications and many more [2].…”
