Marginal Artery of Drummond in Aorto‐arteritis

Abstract: SUMMARY Eight cases of aorto‐arteritis with narrowing of the abdominal aorta showed a marginal artery of Drummond on aortography. There was no case with clinical evidence of abdominal angina. In six cases there was occlusion or narrowing of the superior mesenteric artery with flow of blood in the marginal artery from the inferior to the superior mesenteric artery and these patients also had hypertension resulting from involvement of renal artery/arteries.
