Abstract: We investigate the evolution of convective instability in a LiBr–water binary mixture, driven by thermal and solutal Marangoni stresses, through numerical simulations. A small perturbation in absorption at the surface disturbs the equilibrium, generating surface tension gradients that drive Marangoni flows.
