The coastal area is an area that has the potential to experience changes in land use. Coastal residents of Bantul and Kulon Progo districts utilize coastal land as dryland farming and fishery ponds. This study aims to determine the effect of land use change in the Srigading Village (especially for the conversion of shrimp ponds) to the farmers' income in the Village. This research uses the tools of remote sensing technology to identify land use change that happened in research area and combine with interview result data to know earnings difference from farmer. The result of the analysis shows that land use in coastal area of Srigading Village, Sanden Sub-District, Bantul Regency, before being used as shrimp pond is dominated by agricultural land and garden / moor. There are also settlements, and water area contained in the study area. Gardens/moor and agricultural land is a land that has the potential to switch function to shrimp farms as long as get enough brackish water supply. The distance is quite close to the beach and the river makes the land is very potential to switch functions into ponds. The results of the analysis also showed that farmers' income before and after shrimp farming in Srigading village experienced an average increase of almost 50%.

Energy needs in Indonesia increase rapidly, and Indonesian Government pays serious attention to this program. One of this program application is to build the new power plant and its transmission line in Alam Pauh Duo, District of Solok Selatan. The geological condition in this area consists of Geomorphology Units of the Hills and High Geomorphological Units with the altitude of about 900-500m (meters) with lithology of volcanic rock and intrusion of granite and granodiorite. The review survey (checking and renaissance) was applied for geological mapping in this study by a road sweeping or tracking using a handheld GPS. The result of this mapping and assessment are the coordinate values of the markers or dividing marks that are already available and scattered in each location point. The final result is a map that has a description of the location of Land Power Plant and Transmission Tower. There are 15 transmission towers planned for the builders as well as the power plant (GI). The required land area of each transmission tower is about 15x15 m (meters) up to 20x20 m and the land area for 3ha (hectare) power plant (GI) development. Then the distance between each tower transmission approximately 200 meters.

Kebakaran hutan telah menjadi bencana tahunan di Indonesia, yang berdampak pada degradasi lahan. Kebakaran hutan banyak terjadi di lahan gambut. Pada bulan Agustus 2019 terdeteksi sebanyak 810 hotspot di Provinsi Jambi. Informasi luas area kebakaran diperlukan untuk menentukan kebijakan dalam pengelolaan hutan dan lahan. Informasi mengenai luas area kebakaran sulit didapatkan dari pengukuran lapangan karena area yang luas dan tidak mudah diakses. Data Landsat merupakan salah satu jenis citra dari teknologi remote sensing yang dapat digunakan untuk memetakan luas area kebakaran. Salah satu metode yang sering digunakan untuk mengestimasi luas area kebakaran adalah dengan teknik interpretasi visual on screen. Namun, teknik ini memerlukan tenaga interpreter yang berpengalaman. Untuk itu, pada makalah ini digunakan teknik interpretasi digital menggunakan algoritme Support Vector Machine (SVM) untuk mengklasifikasikan area kebakaran di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi pada ekosistem gambut indikatif fungsi lindung, kemudian menghitung estimasi luasan lahan vegetasi, lahan terbuka, dan area terbakar. Makalah ini menghasilkan klasifikasi dengan akurasi sebesar 99,8%. Estimasi luas gambut berdasarkan klasifikasi SVM pada tanggal 15 Agustus 2019 adalah 1.396,89 ha teridentifikasi sebagai area terbakar, 7.069,5 ha adalah area vegetasi, dan 1.089,54 ha merupakan area lahan terbuka.
