Abstract: <p>Fine Resolution Epithermal Neutron Detector, FREND, is an instrument onboard ExoMars’ Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO). It uses neutron measurements to detect hydrogen (and thus water) variations in the shallow subsurface of the Martian soil.
