Abstract:A brief review of the background and theory underlying the channel coupling array (CCA) method for treating n-particle scattering problems and recently applied to very simple atomic and molecular structure problems is given. This is followed by a comparison of CCA calculations with certain variational ones for Hz, He, and HeH+. The work concludes with a few speculative comments.
