Abstract: Motivation and emotion are of critical importance for students’ academic learning and achievement. Drawing on Eccles and colleagues’ situated expectancy-value theory and Pekrun’s control-value theory, we examined to what extent specific expectancy-value appraisals related to studentsʼ achievement emotions.
