“…Since environmental toxicant-associated kidney damage might be influenced by genetic factors [ 23 ], it is possible that the SNPs of antioxidant enzyme genes (e.g., MnSOD , GPX1 , CAT ) could modify the effects of environmental melamine exposure on the risk of oxidative stress and renal tubular injury in humans.
