Abstract:The incidence of cancer during pregnancy is rare and is often diagnosed in advanced stages. The frequency has increased due to delayed motherhood along with the increase in age-dependent malignancies among young adults. The most common cancers diagnosed during pregnancy are breast, cervical, hematological (lymphomas and acute leukemias) and melanoma. The least common are gastrointestinal.
