“…Overall, it can be summarized that both patients (Orlinsky, Geller, Tarragona et al, 1993; Zeeck et al, 2018) and therapists (Arnd‐Caddigan, 2012; J. D. Geller et al, 2002; Rocco et al, 2019; Schröder et al, 2009) report intersession experiences and that these are directly related to therapy and the therapeutic process (Zeeck et al, 2018). Studies have shown that the therapeutic relationship (Andreas et al, 2016; Hartmann et al, 2011; Owen et al, 2012; Stehle et al, 2016) in particular correlates positively with positive intersession experiences. In addition, outcomes (Andreas et al, 2016; J. Geller & Farber, 1993; Marble et al, 2019; Stehle et al, 2016; Zeeck et al, 2006, 2018; Zeeck & Hartmann, 2005) and positive intersession experiences (Zeeck et al, 2006) have been shown to be interrelated, and positive emotions in the intersession process are a significant predictor of therapeutic success (Hartmann et al, 2016).…”
