Managing the risk of complications following stoma reversal surgery

Abstract: Closure of a temporary stoma is generally eagerly awaited, signifying a return to normality. Yet ostomists may not always appreciate that the surgery to close their stoma is associated with risk of postoperative complications which can cause considerable morbidity.
