Abstract: Management of thyroid nodules is one of the most controversial issues in thyroidology. Different approaches derive from geographical variation in presentation, inadequate or incomplete clinical diagnosis, lack of prospective controlled studies and, frequently, the different cultural backgrounds of physicians.
