“…On the contrary, in patients with presumed stage I, grade 2 or 3 EC, the probability of underestimating the grade and/or stage of cancer is increased. 25 Such findings are well explained by the findings of Sato et al, 26 who showed that the accuracy of the imaging techniques used to exclude myometrial invasion is reduced in patients with grade 3 EC.…”

“…It is acknowledged that both tumor grade/histotype and stage definitions are affected by imperfect concordance between diagnostic and definitive pathology. It has been reported that higher the tumor grade, lower the accuracy of preoperative evaluation of grade and myometrial invasion [ 20 21 ]. Therefore, the risks potentially derivable from delaying definitive surgery to allow childbearing could be higher in women with early-stage G2 EC.…”

“…Thus far, few studies have investigated the adherence to follow-up recommendations in clinical practice in oncology. Brun et al showed that for the surgical management of stage 1 EC, adherence to the guidelines was low (19). Regarding followup, a Dutch study in 2013 assessed care consumption during follow-up after early stage EC and showed an overconsumption of follow-up care between 19% and 27% depending on the year.…”
