“…Due to the complex nature of pain, affective states such as anxiety and agitation can lead to a worse pain experience 34 . Benzodiazepines such as lorazepam or midazolam may be considered for mitigation of anxiety‐induced hyperalgesia before and during anti‐GD2 mAb infusions 35 ; their mild amnesiac effect may also help to reduce anxiety ahead of subsequent infusions. Premedication with benzodiazepines is also useful for reducing nausea and vomiting 36 and can be considered for specific patients receiving any of the anti‐GD2 mAb therapies, including naxitamab.…”
