Abstract:Children with home invasive mechanical ventilation face numerous
difficulties, including endocrine problems that can arise as a
consequence of their condition. Endocrine problems seen in children
treated with HIMV may develop due to the underlying disease, drugs used,
or prolonged mechanical ventilation. This manuscript will discuss the
most common endocrine problems encountered in children with home
invasive mechanical ventilation, including problems in glucose
