Management of Bilateral Synchronous Knee Prosthetic Joint Infection in a Patient with Infected Heart Transplant

Abstract: Case: A 74-year-old man presented with septic shock with infection of his heart transplant and bilateral prosthetic knee joints simultaneously. He underwent bilateral knee resection arthroplasties with placement of articulating spacers. At 3-year follow-up, the patient was alive and ambulating independently.
