“…The barriers are systemic, cultural, and institutional (e.g., educational, financial, psychological, and familial challenges), and they have potential for interfering with becoming ready for life after high school (Martinez et al., 2020). In this report, Latinx is used as a gender‐neutral alternative to other gender‐binary terms such as Latino and Latina that promotes inclusion and intersection of Latin American identities (McAlister, 2016).
