The article is devoted to the study of colloidal lubricant to reduce wear of the friction surfaces of wheels and rails high-speed rail transport. The disadvantage of almost all known lubricants for rails lubrication manufactured according to conventional techniques, which include the content of base oils crushed to a fine state particles, are problems associated with sedimentation of the particles and the clogging of filters. Discussed in the article, the lubricant is free from these disadvantages. The results of tribological bench tests of various lubricants for rails in the velocity interval of 40-100 m/s on a “bridge analogy”. Proposed recommendations for use of the developed lubricant for lubrication rails.
