“…In the past 2 decades, a plethora of methods and technologies have been established to achieve precise patterning of bacteria for diverse applications. By using “patterning of bacteria” and “biofilm” as the keywords and restricting the search to the period of “2004–2023” on the Web of Science, more than 4000 publications have been retrieved (as of December 31, 2023), suggesting the rapid development of bacterial patterning during this time frame. , However, there are no relevant review articles comprehensively introducing the technologies of bacterial patterning. To fill this gap, this mini-review aims to provide a systematic summary of bacterial patterning technologies and their applications in the biomedical field.…”
