Abstract: Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a rare but life-threatening disease. Although plasma exchange (PE) therapy and corticosteroids are standard remission induction and maintenance therapies, some patients are easily refractory and frequently relapse under treatment with this therapy, and require additional treatment.
