Abstract. A prototype fusion reactor is targeted as a beyond ITER project which is so called DEMO. Several conceptual designs have been carried out. Recently, in order to recognize practical aspects on maintenance of the prototype reactor, the replacement procedure of in-vessel components was focused and "sector process" was proposed. The process is that the reactor consists of sectors and all sectors will be drowned and replaced in a short time. The slim coil which generated higher magnetic field is required to realize the sector process. From the point of coil design, the occupancy of the structural material on the cross section of the coil increases with an increase of magnetic field. To realize the slim coil, the cryogenic structural material with higher yield strength and the proper toughness is desired.

В рамках программы Международного энергетического агентства по экологии, безопасности и экономике термоядерных энергетических установок (ТЭУ) проведено международное исследование обращения с радиоактивными материалами термо-ядерных реакторов с целью определения требований к этим материалам на завершающей стадии обращения с ними. Стратегия обращения с материалами, активированными в ТЭУ, предусматривает три возможных пути: вывод очень низкоактивных мате-риалов из-под контроля надзорных органов (КНО) с передачей их на рынок товаров промышленного назначения (клиренс), возвращение материалов в производственный цикл в рамках ядерной промышленности (рециклинг) и захоронение в геологиче-ских или приповерхностных могильниках в зависимости от уровня радиоактивности. В настоящее время усиливаются между-народные попытки избежать захоронения радиоактивных материалов, в частности, отработавших свой срок службы в ТЭУ, в геологических формациях. Компоненты, обращённые к плазме (дивертор и бланкет), обычно сильно радиоактивны и не могут быть выведены из-под КНО. Так как вывод из-под КНО крупногабаритных компонентов (таких, как биологическая защита, корпус криостата, вакуумный корпус, некоторые элементы магнита) весьма желателен, мы определили источники радиоизото-пов, препятствующих этому выводу, и исследовали влияние уменьшения примесей. В другом исследовании было оценено на-копление радиоактивности при повторном использовании дивертора, изготовленного из сплава W-La 2 O 3. Влияние примесей на обращение с активированными материалами иллюстрируется на примерах образования 14 С и активации примесей в бетоне био-логической защиты. Мы думаем, что анализ сценариев обращения с активированными материалами, представленный в данной статье на примере замены бланкета и дивертора, также представляет интерес.Ключевые слова: термоядерная энергетическая установка, возврат радиоактивных материалов в производство, вывод малора-диоактивных материалов из-под контроля надзорных органов, захоронение радиоактивных материалов, углерод-14. Within the framework of the International Energy Agency Program on Environmental, Safety and Economic Aspects of Fusion Power, an international collaborative study on management of fusion radioactive materials has been carried out to examine the back-end of the materials cycle. The strategy for handling fusion activated materials calls for three potential schemes: clearance, recycling and disposal. There is a growing international effort to avoid geologic disposal, for fusion in particular. Plasma facing components (divertor and blanket) usually contain high radioactivity and are not clearable. As clearance of sizeable components (such as biological shield, cryostat vessel, vacuum vessel, and some constituents of magnets) is highly desirable, we identified the source of radioisotopes that hinder the clearance of these components and investigated the impact of impurity control.
