Abstract:The ethanolic extract of Jungia rugosa Less, a popular Andean species belonging to the family Asteraceae, was characterized chemically. The extract was deprived of chlorophyll by solid-phase extraction, using Diaion Hp-20 resin as solid phase, and eluting with a mixture of EtOH/H2O according to a decreasing polarity gradient.
