This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of the addition of some essential oil extraction from natural herbs (Clove, cinnamon, and thyme) on the stability and quality of raw chilled minced beef. Two factors were used in the research, namely: concentration of essential oil (0.25% and 0.5% and mixed with different extracted essential oils respectively) and shelf life at refrigerated temperatures (3°C ±1) (0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 days). The parameters analyzed were pH value, total volatile nitrogen (TVN), thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, and microbial analysis. In general, obtained results showed that adding 0.25% and 0.5 % of essential oils of chilled minced beef samples had a positive effect on the physical properties, quality attributes and microbiological changes in minced beef meat during chilled storage. The samples contained thyme and cinnamon essential oils under levels 0.50 % recorded the best treatments. While the mixing from different essential oils showed low effect on the stability of chilled minced beef meat. In conclusion, using essential oils (Clove, cinnamon, and thyme) alone gave better results than mixed, as safe natural preservatives to improve the stability and quality of chilled minced beef.

A pot experiment was carried out at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt during 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 growing seasons to elucidate the impact of filter mud as organic manure, microorganisms as biofertilizers and their interactions on herb dry weight, flowers dry weight, seed yield, fixed oil % as well as the content of alkaloids in the herb, flowers and seeds of borage (Borago officinalis L.) plants. Filter mud was added at four levels (0, 70, 140 and 210 g/plant) compared with the check treatments. Microorganisms as biofertilizers used were eight treatments as follows: 0 (uninoculated plants), Azotobacter chroococcum (Az), Bacillus circulans (B.c), arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (Glomus mosseae and Glomus fasciculatum) (AM), Az + B.c., Az + AM, B.c + AM and Az + B.c + AM. The obtained results indicated that the addition of filter mud with all levels resulted in a significant increase in all studied aspects, except for the low one (70 g/plant), mostly. Clearly, in the most cases, the tested parameters were gradually significantly augmented with increasing the levels of filter mud. Therefore, the filter mud when used at high level (210 g/plant) proved to be more effective in elevating the examined characteristics. At the same time, the inoculation with the tested useful microorganisms either single or in combination led to a significant increase in the studied traits, except Azotobacter (Az) and or Bacillus (B.c) treatments, mostly. It is obvious from data that the best results of all traits were detected when the inoculation with the triple combined treatment (Az + B.c + AM), followed by the double combined one (B.c + A.M), mostly. The interaction between the two studied factors on the examined parameters was significant effected. In addition, most combined treatments significantly increased the studied traits. Apparently, supplying the plants with the filter mud at high level (210 g/plant) plus the inoculation with the triple combined treatment (Az + B.c + AM), followed by the double combined one (B.c + AM) were the most effective treatments in augmenting these aspects, in many cases.

Gold mineralization in the El-Barramiya region of the Eastern Desert, Egypt, is connected to the post-accretionary stage throughout the Central Eastern Desert. It is represented by quartz, quartz-carbonate veins and disseminations in listvenite rocks. The thrust contact between rock units in El-Barramiya area played an imperative part in gold mineralization where the obduction of ophiolitic rocks over the metasediments and metavolcanics caused shear zones. Mineralization in the study area formed along shear zones and the gold mineralization prefers to precipitate along the transition zone between low-grade regional metamorphic area which is represented by metasediments and high grade which is represented by actinolite schist. Gold mineralization lode of El-Barramiya gold mine area is situated in E-W trending quartz and quartz-carbonate veins along a shear zone located in the intersections between faults trend in NE-SW (Najd fault), NW-SE and thrust faults trend in NEE-SWW in metavolcanic and metasedimentary host rocks. Porphyry granite in the mine area played an important role in hydrothermal alteration process where it represents the source of K, listvenite formed when fluids rich in CO2 and bearing-K permeate and alter the previously altered ultramafic rocks, usually serpentinites of the ophiolitic mélange rocks. Listvenitization process includes silicification and carbonatization metasomatic processes, tectonized serpentinites are altered to listvenite as the carbonatization becomes more intense close to dipping transpressive faults. Geochemical studies of listvenite and mineralized veins helped to determine the ultramafic genesis of listvenite and gold transformed as gold bisulfide. Petrographic investigation and geochemical studies show different types of alterations (carbonatization and silicification) and mineralization. Mineralizations are represented by gold and sulfides (pyrite, arsenopyrite and smaller quantities of chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, tetrahedrite and gersdorffite) found in auriferous quartz veins and disseminated in listvenite. The area exposed to brittle - ductile deformation in addition to different types of structures such as faults and fractures controlling on the formation of mineralization and act as hydrothermal channels ways for fluid flow. Fluid inclusions studies revealed that gold mineralization was formed from heterogeneous trapping of H2O–CO2 fluids at a temperature of 280–340°C and pressure within the range 1.5–1.9 kbar, which is consistent with the mesothermal conditions.
