“…This finding is comparable to studies from Nigeria [23] and Mekelle. [25] This could be explained by the higher socioeconomic status of private school students' families, which allows them access to surplus, processed and energy-dense foods; engage in less strenuous physical activity and work, which results in less energy expenditure; and the use of vehicles for transportation. [22] The current study found a significant association between being female and overweight/obesity among public schools and overall participants of the study.…”
