Magnetorheological landing gear: 1. A design methodology

Abstract: Aircraft landing gears are subjected to a wide range of excitation conditions, which result in conflicting damping requirements. A novel solution to this problem is to implement semiactive damping using magnetorheological (MR) fluids.
