Experimental SectionReagents.CuO (Fisher Scientific Company, 99+%), MoO 3 (Baker Chemical Company, 99+%), and CuBr 2 (Alfa Aesar, 99+%) were used as received. Synthesis.Single crystals of -CuMoO 4 were synthesized by combining 0.144 g (1 mmol) of MoO 3 , 0.0265 g (0.33 mmol) of CuO, and 0.0782 g (0.35 mmol) of CuBr 2 . The reagents were ground together in a glove bag and placed into an 8 cm pyrex tube (o.d. = 0.9 cm). The tube
