Magnetochromatic Microspheres: Rotating Photonic Crystals

Abstract: Magnetochromatic microspheres have been fabricated through instant assembly of superparamagnetic (SPM) colloidal particles inside emulsion droplets of UV curable resin followed by an immediate UV curing process to polymerize the droplets and fix the ordered structures.
