Using a representative sample of 400 Slovaks, the study investigated the mediating role of subjective perception of financial threat to the relation between psychological resources and behavioural responses in the adaptation to financial stress posed by the COVID-19. The results showed that greater neuroticism and uncertainty intolerance were positively related to aggravated perception of financial threat. This led to greater willingness to change consumption patterns and use of mostly problem-focused coping strategies. The model remained robust after controlling for chronic financial hardship moderators, including the absence of savings and indebtedness. In contrast, acute financial hardship caused by the deterioration of one's financial situation during the pandemic showed to significantly moderate the relation between one's psychological resources and perceived financial threat.

The spin Hall effect of light (SHEL) is the microscopic splitting of light into two circular polarizations at the optical interface along the perpendicular direction. With the advent of metamaterials/metasurfaces and their fast‐developing applications, the SHEL has been garnering significant scientific interest. Here, the principle and recent developments in SHEL research is reviewed. A theoretical description of the SHEL is provided, including the formalism and general techniques. Also, recent studies on and applications of the SHEL are extensively reviewed, including the enhancement of the spin Hall shift and efficiency, implementation of dynamic tunability, elimination of polarization dependence, and precision measurements. The review is concluded with a discussion on the future direction and prospects of the SHEL.

In this paper, an experimental method of magneto-optical spin Hall effect of light (MOSHEL) based on thermo-optical control is designed. First, we design and implement a pilot experiment—the SHEL experiment controlled by thermo-optical. According to the experiment, it is concluded that the increase of the temperature of the thermo-optical medium will have an important influence on the corresponding thermo-optical spin Hall effect of light (TOSHEL). Accordingly, we designed a device that controls the SHEL in magneto-optical-thermo-optical (MO-TO) two-dimension that uses the thermo-optical effect to simultaneously control the intrinsic TOSHEL and MOSHEL.
