Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy on Digital Magnetic Heterostructures

Abstract: Reflectance difference spectroscopy (RDS) and photoluminescence spectroscopy on digital magnetic heterostructures are presented. From the angular dependence of the RDS spectra, signals due to interband Faraday rotations and signals originating from crystal anisotropy, can be distinguished. The Faraday rotation follows the Curie‐Weiss behaviour with an antiferromagnetic temperature of —6K corresponding to the nominal ion spin concentration in the magnetic barriers.
