Magnetized dusty plasma: On issues of its complexity and magnetization of charged dust particles

Mangilal Choudhary

Abstract: It is possible to excite various linear and nonlinear low‐frequency modes in dusty plasma, which is an admixture of electrons, ions, gas atoms, and negatively charged solid particles. The experimental as well as theoretical study of these low‐frequency dynamical modes in dusty plasma is very complex because of the involvement of dynamics of electrons, ions, and neutrals. If the external magnetic field is introduced to dusty plasma, then the dynamics of it will be more complex. The complexity of magnetized dust… Show more

“…The allowable Mach number is clearly contingent on the index q, as long as the Mach number satisfies the specified conditions: > M M min (17), (18) in both cases −1 < q < 1 and q > 1. The pseudopotential is then expressed in the following manner,…”

“…The temperature of both the dust particles and the ion beam emerges as a significant factor influencing the region where double layers exist. Observations of double layer behavior in dusty plasmas have been conducted in controlled laboratory settings [17] and their exploration extends beyond theoretical interest, finding practical applications in areas such as waste gas treatment, sterilization, and ozone synthesis [18].…”
