Magnetische und EPR‐Messungen an Komplexen des Kupfer(II), Cobalt(II), Mangan(II) und Vanadium(IV) mit Oxin und CMAP‐Oxin

Die bei der Umsetzung von Oxovanadium(IV)‐sulfat mit Chinolin‐8‐olen bei Luftzutritt entstehenden Verbindungen wurden durch ihre magnetischen Momente und die V—K‐Absorptionsspektren im kantennahen Gebiet charakterisiert. Danach liegt beim unsubstituierten Chinolin‐8‐ol und seinen Mannich‐Derivaten („CMAB‐Oxin”︁, „CMAP‐Oxin”︁) Vanadium(V) vor. Der sich zunächst bildende Oxovanadium(IV)‐Komplex des 7‐Methyl‐chinolin‐8‐ols ist in Lösung nur wenig beständig und neigt ebenfalls stark zur Oxydation. Lediglich der Oxovanadium(IV)‐Komplex des 2‐Methyl‐chinolin‐8‐ols zeichnet sich durch eine gute Stabilität aus, die der von β‐Diketon‐komplexen entspricht.
