Abstract:Magnetic susceptibilities are reported for a number of compounds containing sulfur–oxygen bonds; the sulfur may also be bonded to organic groups or to halogen. The results are compared with earlier measurements on the phosphorus–oxygen or halogen–oxygen systems, and with other data on the sulfur–oxygen compounds which give information on the bond order. Though some trends similar to those in phosphorus–oxygen or halogen oxygen systems are noted, it does not seem to be possible to correlate the magnetic suscept… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
