Abstract:Diagnostic of radiation effects can be obtained within hours from delivery relying on spectroscopic detection of cell metabolite concentrations. Clinical and pre-clinical studies show that radiation delivery with elevated dose-rates can achieve tumor suppression while minimizing toxicity to surrounding areas. Diagnostic biomarkers detected on short timescales are needed to orient high dose-rate radiation delivery. We have designed an 1H magnetic resonance approach to observe metabolite concentrations, in parti… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
