Magnetic Phase Transition in HoCo2 Alloy Studied by Emission Mössbauer Spectroscopy

Abstract: The emission 57 Fe Mössbauer spectra of HoCo2 were measured in temperature range 20 -300 K. The mean hyperfine induction derived from the spectra exhibits a new anomaly increase above the TC of HoCo2 with a maximum at 90 K. It can be interpreted as an ordering of the Co moments which is stable at least during the reading time of the Mössbauer effect on 57 Fe which is ∼ 10 −7 s. PACS : 75.50Tt
