“…* The station settling sites have been selected after studying the conductivity anomalies existing throughout the massif . As a matter of fact, on a volcano like that of the Soufriere volcano of Guadeloupe (LE MOUEL et al,1984), marked lateral heterogeneities in the electrical conductivity of superficial geological formations account for inhomogeneous spatiotemporal variations of the transient magnetic field. Because of these results, abnormal transient variations with an extent of several nanoteslas can still possibly be superimposed over the volcanomagnetic variations.…”
