Magnetic dipole moments of excited states of105Pd and other spectroscopic investigations in the decay of105g Ag

Abstract: The IPAC-method has been used with the external magnetic field of 9.0T of a split coil superconducting magnet and with the internal field of PdF__~e for a measurement of The half-life of the 645 keV state has been redetermined by use of cooled thallium free NaI detectors as T1/2 (645 keY)= 126(2) ps. >7 directional correlations were measured with a system of three large Ge planar diodes for the cascades 443-645 keV, 332-319keV, 393-280keV, and 64-280keV and analyzed in terms of dipole quadrupole mixing ratios… Show more

“…We observed the same phenomenon recently for the 160keV state of t33Cs [34] and for the 645 keV state of l~ [35]. The positive g-factor of a d3/2 single neutron contribution may be responsible for the small deviation of the measured g-factor from the prediction of the de Shalit model.…”

“…'-V angular correlation measurements was filled into a small plexiglass container. The remaining activity was taken up in 10ml 2M HiSO ~ and deposited in a circular area of 10mm~ on a 10gm thick high purity Fe-foit by electrolysis in a special apparatus described in [18]. The deposition of Re is rather slow [19].…”
